Har precis kommit tillbaka från den andra internationella konferensen om ångest i Teheran (Iran). Jag blev inbjuden att hålla en keynote om “Internet and Smartphone Based Treatments Including a New PTSD-Study” samt en workshop med titeln “PTSD and Disasters”. Det var en spännande utflykt till ett land jag nästan inte visste något om. Men nu vet jag mer! Konferensanordnarna (motsvarande Rödakorset) betalade visserligen flygresan och hotellet, men inget arvode. Istället tog de med oss internationella talare på flera olika utflykter. Mycket intressant och långt ifrån en okomplicerad historia både vad gäller dåtid och nutid. Förutom att träffa alla trevliga Iranier och alla sevärdheter så var den stora behållningen de övriga internationella forskarna. Vi blev som en liten familj och har redan flera planerade samarbeten poäng (och en artikel publicerad!).
